There are so many websites out there to download music, but which one is the best? I don't want to spend too much time on each one, just a couple of things to point out that I came across while evaluating each one of these methods for downloading MP3's. So take 5 minutes of you time and read through this article and see which one is right for you. You won't be disappointed.
Monthly Fees Apply to These
Let's start with the 3 most popular that everyone knows about- I-Tunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and eMusic.
i-Tunes- I liken i-Tunes to AOL 10-12 years ago. Everyone used AOL as their ISP, just because they didn't know better. Other ISP's took you to the same internet for less than half the price. Once people caught on and realized this they started using other ISP's. Same thing with i-Tunes. They were kind of the first legitimate music download site. Sure they have a few extra bells and whistles that other music download sites don't have. But do you really want to pay more for the same MP3's you could get else where? A lot of people are abandoning i-Tunes these days for less expensive alternatives. I did, and I'm glad I did. $.99/per track.
Napster- the once proud home of FREE MP3 downloads. Until Metalica went before congress and ruined it for all of us. Gone are the days of FREE MP3's. So if that is what you are looking for, forget about it. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FREE MP3'S. If you find something out there promising this, be careful, it's probably illegal, so shame on you. Anyway Napster had to reinvent themselves and now you pay for their service. It's ok, I guess, but I like others better. $12.95/month
Rhapsody- I really like Rhapsody and it has many loyal users, I used it for many years myself. It's easy to use, they have a pretty good selection and by far the best search utility to help you find the music you are looking for. If you're just looking for MUSIC Downloads, this is a pretty good way to go. The only downside is the monthly fees you have to keep dishing out. $12.99 for Rhapsody, and $12.99 if you want to get Real Player Plus. It was just announced recently that Rhapsody will acquire Yahoo! Music, so it should be interesting to see what benefit that will bring th Rhapsody users.
The following have the option of 1 year, 2 year, or lifetime memberships. No monthly fees apply.
These 2 are almost identical. Mostly the same features, software is almost the same to use. Some have more files available for downloading, but all in all pretty much the same thing, when it comes down to it.
Unlimitedmp3downloads.comLiftetime membership $34.94
MP3Download.netLiftetime membership $34.95
My Top 2 Favorites by Far:
Zune300 Million files- This one is really popular right now. Tons of new registrations each day.Liftetime membership $34.95 for MP3Liftetime membership $49.95 for video and MP3
The best thing about this one is the free bonuses you get. Free DVD/CD copying software (make backup's of your favorite DVD's, a must if you have kids like me that destroy things), free spyware/adware/pop-up blocker/ antivirus software and personal firewall. $245 in bonus software. With all the security risks today, if you're online a lot like I am you need these tools to protect your computer. They are all yours free when you register with Zune Empire. you really can't beat that! Even if you never used the MP3 software, it's worth it just get all that other software free.
K-Lite800 Million songs and videos. Can you even get your head around that number. Talk about a selection! No monthly fees, unlimited downloads, no spyware or adware (this is very important- some MP3 sites out there will give you real cheap access, but then flood your computer with spyware and adware. Trust me, you don't want that.Liftetime membership $39.95 for MP3 DVD Backup Software $9.95DVD Quality Movie Downloads $9.95
This is a little more expensive than the others ($5.00 for Music, $19.90 for Movies and CD/DVD software) but the price is worth it when it comes to the selection and ease of use. If you don't want the other two pieces of software, this is the best one. If you really got have that software, go with Zune Empire for $49.95.
The last 4 companies listed here are all pretty much the same thing/same price. It's just a matter of personal preference. Having tried them all, I would highly recommend either of the last two- Zune Empire or K-Lite. They have the biggest selection, most features, and best customer support. You really can't go wrong for $34.95. That is less than what I would pay to take my wife out to dinner at someplace half way decent.
The bottom line is, if you're like me, you probably invested $200-$400 on a decent MP3 player. You want to get the most out of it- Music, Videos, Movies, etc. Scrounge up the $34.95 or $49.95 if you want videos, and invest in some software that will let you use your MP3 player for what it was intended for. You'll be glad you did.

Cell Phone Fraud
By: Douglas Stewart
In today’s marketplace, there are so many cell phones and cell phone service providers that many consumers do not know one from another. This has led to the crime of cell phone fraud becoming more frequent.
The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) defines cell phone fraud as the unauthorized use, tampering, or manipulation of a cell phone or service. As this crime began to rise in the 1990s, the Wireless Telephone Protection Act was passed in 1998 to criminalize the use, possession, manufacture, or sale of hardware or software used to clone fraudulent cell phones. This cloning is a type of cell phone fraud.
Every cell phone has a unique factory-set electronic serial number (ESN) and its own telephone number. Certain people will illegally monitor radio transmissions from the cell phones of legitimate subscribers. These individual then can create a cloned cell phone, which is a cell phone that has been reprogrammed to transmit the serial number and phone number of another legitimate cell phone. As both the cell phone and its clone have the same identifying numbers, the cellular system can not distinguish the difference. The legitimate subscriber who owns the original cell phone will end up getting billed for calls from both the phones. The agency warns that if when you receive your monthly cell phone bill and there are charges on it that you do not recognize, you should contact your cell phone service provider immediately.
The cell phone manufacturers are helping in the fight against cell phone cloning by making improvements on their products to make the cell phones more resistant to reprogramming. These companies have had quite a bit of success with their efforts and some of them feel that the problem should be totally resolved in a few years..
Another type of cell phone fraud is subscriber fraud. This is basically another form of identity theft. The perpetrator uses someone else’s name and social security number to purchase a cell phone and sets up an account with a cell phone service provider. The charges for the phone and any calls that the person makes is billed to the person whose name is on the account. If you are the victim of subscriber fraud you should report it to the authorities immediately a well as contacting your cell phone company, although it will probably be a long and complicated process to get the situation straightened out.
As with any other types of identity theft, there are precautions that you can take. You should shred any documents that contain your personal information, such as old check stubs and bank statements. It is a proven fact that many of these thieves retrieve the information that they need to obtain someone else’s identity by going through that person’s trash. You should also avoid giving out your personal information to any company or Web site that asks for it, usually under the guise of a charity or a sweepstakes contest. You may also want to refrain from carrying your social security card around with you in your purse or wallet as well as any other documents that may have this all-important number written on them in case your purse or wallet is lost or stolen. If the thief does not have your social security number, he cannot steal your identity as easily.
Cell phone cloning has been decreasing with the help of the manufacturers but subscriber fraud is happening more and more frequently. Again, keeping your personal information protected can prevent you from being a victim of these identity thieves.

Networking & Computer Security Training & Education
Network administration, computer security, computer support and other related fields require a firm grasp of network-related computer technology, which may be learned in school or acquired through experience. Many employers prefer to hire people with 2- or 4-year degrees, especially for non-entry level positions. If you already have a lot of experience but no formal training, earning a certificate will help demonstrate that you know what you’re doing. Some useful certifications include S+, CSA, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, and CSEC.
If you are less than fully experienced, a 2- or 4-year degree will not only give you the technical know-how to work with computer networks and security, but will provide validation of that knowledge to a potential employer. Degrees in computer science, information technologies or other related fields are excellent preparation for networking or computer security work.
Since computer-related fields are always advancing rapidly, its also important for networking and computer security specialists to stay up-to-date on the latest technology, often by taking continuing education classes.

Networking & Computer Security Career Overview
While individual computers are powerful tools, their full potential isn’t realized until they’ve been hooked up to one another in networks or connected to the largest network of all, the Internet, where they can communicate with millions of others. Network analysts and administrators ensure that computer networks serve the needs of customers and fellow employees, while computer security workers keep networks safe from unauthorized intrusion.
Networking and computer security are growing fields with many opportunities for individuals who possess the technical know-how and training. Entry-level network and computer security administrators are involved in day-to day operations, responsible for installing, maintaining and updating network hardware and software. With experience, administrators can advance to positions where they are responsible for developing and designing how networks and network security systems operate.
People who work with network and computer security must have strong technical knowledge as well as analytical and troubleshooting skills. Because the nature of the work requires interaction with computer users and other technicians, network administrators and computer support specialists should be able to communicate effectively what is often dry technical information

Computer Networking
A degree or certificate program in Networking & Security addresses defense procedures and protocols associated with protecting an electronic systems network from malicious content in the form of hacking, virus corruption, or spyware. Security protects individual user data in addition to the overall integrity of the network by preventing worm and virus transmission and spread, securing encryptions, isolating anomalies, and monitoring network traffic and performance. Networking & Security Administrators, Engineers, and Technicians typically have professional certification, an Associate's or Bachelor's Degrees in a related technical field, and are proficient in personal computer operation and maintenance.
Computer Science
A Computer Science degree teaches students about both the theoretical and practical programming of computers. Students who choose to get a degree in computer science will receive a firm foundation in computing skills such as Unix, software design and professional issues in software engineering. Graduates of this course will find careers as computer programmers or technical writers to name a few. These positions will be found in computer software companies as well as almost any private or governmental organization within their information systems department.
IT & Computer Science
The fields of information technology and computer science are ripe with career opportunities. Professionals in this field are able to be part of the ever-evolving technology sector; changing the way the world works and communicates every day. Whether programming, troubleshooting, or physically repairing computers and electronic devices, Computer Science is rapidly becoming a household-demanded service and a business standard for successful corporations and advancement as well as a booming independent industry. Information technology employs technology and computer utilities to accurately and effectively disseminate information instantaneously. Career-specific training in Computer Science and IT will virtually guarantee strong employment opportunities; however, Bachelor's and Master's Degree holders find themselves in comfortable financial positions with tremendous career flexibility and are often able to work for themselves as consultants.
